BIOS Firmware
Software upgrades to the CPU Basic Input/Output Subsystem
(BIOS) firmware for the Stratus ftServer family of computer
systems using the Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003 Operating
Systems. Contact Stratus Customer Services or your support
provider for assistance installing this firmware.

It is not mandatory to AA-G94330, AA-G94340 and
AA-G94340-LF CPU BIOS to 1.3.099 on ftServer 2400,
4300, 4600 or 5700, due to no bugs being fixed for
systems operating Windows.
However, it is recommended that the
CPU BIOS firmware be updated to 1.3.099, when upgrading
to ftServer software 4.2.0 and above.

Update AA-G94330 and AA-G94340 CPU BIOS firmware to
release 1.3.097 on ftServer 2400, 4300, 4600 and 5700 systems
operating ftServer system software release 4.0.0 and
above. {Alert #2328: FCO-060522}
This BIOS is mandatory ONLY for ftServer 5700
systems to fix potential voter errors. (spot 82923, new
processor microcode).
It is not mandatory to update CPU BIOS firmware to
1.3.097 on ftServer 2400, 4300 and 4600 systems. However, it is
recommended that the CPU BIOS firmware be updated to
1.3.097 when upgrading to ftServer software 4.1.0 or
above in order to acquire bug fixes.
