ftServer W Series
System BIOS Firmware
Software upgrades to the CPU Basic Input/Output Subsystem
(BIOS) firmware for the Stratus ftServer family of computer
systems using the Microsoft® Windows® 2000
and Windows Server™ 2003 Operating
Systems. Contact Stratus Customer Services or your support
provider for assistance installing this firmware.

ftServer 3210 systems are NOT effected by bug
nechw-194.
It is not mandatory to update CPU BIOS
firmware to 6.0.5109 on ft32x0. However, it is
recommended that the CPU BIOS firmware be updated to
6.0.5109 when upgrading to ftServer software 1.3.0 or
above in order to acquire bug fixes.

the BIOS is upgraded, but prior to upgrading the
ftServer software to 2.1.0.1, 2.1.0.4 or 2.1.0.6 ONLY.
If this is not done, then the fix applied by Microsoft
hotfix 823749 is disabled. An ftServer upgrade or reload
will re-apply the hotfix only after the system has been
rebooted once, after updating to 10.0.0 CPU BIOS.
